What is the opportunity?

This role partners with technology and infrastructure teams providing thought leadership in the management of test data across various test environments within the organization. 

Overall accountability is to develop best practices to ensure efficient deployment and maintenance of test data leveraging TDM solutions and automated provisioning.

The incumbent will work closely with T&O leaders to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of data management, with continuous focus on innovation to reduce ongoing QE costs while maintaining exceptional quality and user experience.


What will you do?


  • Technical Analysis, Design and Consulting: Provide expert advice and solutions to improve test data management and lifecycle, from production profiling and provision, to masking and deployment to environments.  Support Technology and Operations by ensuring test data meets organizational needs.
  • Configuration and Controls: Provide expert advice working with project teams and LOBs to ensure efficient sharing of data across environments and providing best practices on configuration, scheduling, communication and change controls.  Provide expert advice on techniques to manage synchronization of vendor data with internal application data and definition and implementation of data synchronization and data masking processes in test environments.
  • Planning, Implementation & Support: Maintain working knowledge of Technology partners’ data needs and capture changing requirements to evaluate cost effective solutions to fulfill them.  Work with Project Managers to ensure release coordination and alignment to project delivery timelines.
  • Relationships & Communication: Focal point for TDM related creation, updates, deployment and issues.  Facilitate complex group meetings for requirement gathering, design, decision making, problem solving and implementation in an agile fashion.


What do you need to succeed?



  • 5+ years of experience in Software testing, hands-on experience working with test data generation and maintenance.
  • 3+ years of experience in various test environments (mainframe, distributed, cloud).
  • Strong Technical skills & experience building integration scripts, SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers
  • ETL experience – working with a variety of data stores and platforms
  • Working knowledge of several relational databases e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 including understanding ERD Diagrams
  • Working knowledge of one or more test data management solutions along with the ability to map business requirements to test data needs
  • Theoretical and/or practical understanding of test data optimization algorithms such as All-Pairs and orthogonal arrays



  • Experience understanding test data architecture in an enterprise context with focus on the financial industry.  
  • Strong knowledge of SOA, J2EE platforms, mainframes, MQs, XML, web services
  • Excellent communication skills and effective negotiation skills with the ability to focus and prioritize
  • Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related (technical) degree
