The Operations Contract Manager - TSF is primarily responsible for the day to day activities including repair and maintenance related to the Toronto Street Furniture Program. The Operations Manager along with the supporting staff will monitor and report on supplier compliance and overall performance as per contract.


  • Manage the overall work and daily activity related to the Toronto Street Furniture Program:
  • Review, report and monitor all subcontractors for contract compliance.
  • Supervision of Operations staff: Posting Coordinator, Operations Coordinator, Quality Technician and Students.
  • Conduct all performance evaluations for team
  • Manage and monitor the posting process with Charting in Montreal:
  • On-time posting
  • Late material
  • Manage maintenance and ensure that all Toronto Street Furniture (TSF) products clean and well maintained
  • Implement best practice report and procedures
  • Responsible for the execution of the Commitment to Quality Program in Ontario for TSF:
  • Ensure prompt and effective response to CTQ calls and complaints
  • Monitor the TSF incident report and reporting
  • Monitor maintenance and repairs calls and requests
  • Address quality control issues
  • Liaise with production and sales departments on special projects
  • Maintain strong relationships with various suppliers and manage service agreements
  • Analyze performance trends and develop continuous improvement strategies to improve business performance
  • Develop a strategic business roadmap to improve the overall management of the TSF contract to improve financial performance
  • Liaise with City of Toronto representatives and continue to build a strong relationship
  • Recommend, implement and monitor the health and safety program for employees and suppliers
  • Oversee operations expenses and develop/execute cost optimization strategies
  • Evaluate and recommend purchasing procedures for maximum cost efficiencies
  • Participate in the strategic planning process within the overall department

Skill requirements:

  • 3-5 years of Operation, Contract or Project Management experience
  • Proven ability to plan and manage a budget including managing costs/expenses
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create and present reports to Senior Management in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven ability to implement and manage work flow processes
  • Strong sense of urgency in achieving tasks and performing duties including the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
  • Strong customer focus
  • Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Dynamic, energetic, hardworking team player that is internally motivated to achieve business results
  • Knowledge of SAP and other data bases an asset

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
