Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Salesforce Architecture & Governance, The Manager, Salesforce Architect is responsible for architecting Salesforce solutions and associated tools and applications. This is an individual contributor role and will work cross-functionally to translate business requirements into functional solutions. The candidate will also play a lead role in developing and presenting the business case for new tools and projects.


This position will provide governance and best practices across the lifecycle of the all parts of the Salesforce platform: design, development, change control, UAT, deployment, change management and support. The position is expected to provide Salesforce technical leadership to a team of architects, business consultants, and admins. The ability to demonstrate management expertise and execute strategic direction, as well as possessing significant depth of technical expertise in salesforce architecture, will be key skills for the position.



  • Own the full application architecture process that translates business requirements into functional solutions.
  • Develop and present business cases for proposed Salesforce ecosystem solutions (including identifying costs and expected ROI) for capital funding.
  • Work closely with business and IT leaders to provide technical solutions (including out of box solutions) to complex business needs.
  • Research, recommend, and implement AppExchange (and ecosystem) applications and salesforce upgrades to help meet business needs.
  • Document current and future state processes, and develop technical specifications for projects and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with project managers to identify project milestones, tasks, and required resources to develop a detailed project plan.
  • Demonstrate a deep knowledge of all product offerings and solutions.
  • Provide guidance when scoping and delivering Salesforce solutions to meet business needs
  • Design and develop Salesforce configurations that use best practice solutions (e.g. Flow and Process Builder)
  • Create and maintain documentation on processes and application configuration
  • Lead the resources to perform analysis, administration, testing as needed
  • Identify, communicate, and manage risks that may interfere with project execution or success
  • Provide governance and best practices/standards supporting the platform adoption and full application lifecycle (design, development, change control, UAT, deployment and support).
  • Work effectively on multiple assignments, activities, and projects
  • Influence business teams on maximizing the applications being developed



  • Salesforce certification is mandatory, multiple certifications are desired.
  • 5+ years of experience architecting, implementing and configuration solutions with Salesforce ecosystem
  • Post-secondary education in IT, Engineering or related technical field is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Salesforce architecture.
  • Experience implementing in a largescale, enterprise environment                     
  • (SFDC) experience with configurations and/ or development. Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks, best practices, and business processes. Excellent understanding of advanced Salesforce configuration tools (Flow, Process Builder)
  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce data model, custom objects,  triggers,visual force pages, workflows, and configuration
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills; able to evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high level information into details, and ascertain user requests.
  • Must be comfortable speaking to senior executives and various groups to defend ideas and propose new solutions
  • Good working knowledge of project management and business analysis methodology and practice. Experience in developing and advocating Salesforce related business cases
