What is the opportunity?

You will be part of Finance IT team who partners with Finance and Finance Change Management teams in the project delivery for the related finance and regulatory reporting IT applications and initiatives. You will be working with business analysts, users and other technology development teams across regions and time zones to implement sound solutions that reduce development cost and also reduce cost to maintain applications. Preparing for user testing, coordinating implementation/migration as necessary and communication (written and verbally) to team leads and manager on project status throughout the project lifecycle.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for development, enhancement and maintenance of applications that may be internally developed or vendor applications.
  • Review and maintain overall architecture of applications within Product Team
  • Point person for all IT Risk & Audit issue remediation
  • Drive and implement DevOps model across all applications within Product team
  • Develops, codes, documents and executes unit test, system, integration and acceptance test using different languages and testing tools for functions of high complexity.
  • Develops detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project. Validate overall application design and make sure that applicable technologies are being used
  • Perform database/disaster recovery for all applications owned by the team in different situations.
  • Designs and implement application components or solutions that can be reused in other projects or for similar purposes

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • 10 years of experience in software development cycle using OO concepts using mainstream languages (.NET, ASP.NET, C# , C++, Java)
  • 3 years experience at a Lead Developer level (teams of 5-10 developers)
  • Previous experience in Regulatory project work (Dodd Frank / AML/ OSFI / Basel / IIROC / and so on)
  • Strong SQL skills (on Sybase or SQL Server platforms)
  • Frameworks/APIs: .NET, Web Services
  • OS & Tools: Visual Studio 2010+, Eclipse, SVN, GitHub, UNIX, & DevXPress
  • Different programming languages (e.g. C#, Java, Java Script, Visual Basic etc.)
  • MS Technologies (ex. MS IIS Server, SSRS, SSIS, etc.)

Nice to Have

  • Experience in big data technologies and DevOps is a plus
  • Knowledge of Capital Markets products and data
  • Web Design experience is an asset
  • Working experience in different programming languages (e.g. Shell scripting, Perl, Java, Java Script, Visual Basic etc.)
