The Bell Media Agency is responsible for all Creative and Marketing supporting Bell Media’s TV, Radio and Digital products and brands including CTV, TSN, HBO Canada, Crave TV, Space, Much, The Comedy Network, Virgin Radio, iHeartRadio and many more.

As Group Creative Director, Design, you will lead a cross-disciplinary design team, be in charge of leading the design vision, strategy, workflow, and team structure to supercharge our brands, products and marketing campaigns.

We are looking for an innovative creative design leader that understands and embraces both the traditional broadcast ecosystem and the new digital landscape.

This leader will also possess the expertise and drive to motivate teams to develop and produce amazing and effective design across all platforms; someone who understands the difference between a big idea and a tactical execution and excels at both.

The role requires a conceptual creative and branding expert with strong design acumen. They will also have the ability to manage a fast paced, high volume workload, while ensuring the team thrives in a fun environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all multi-platform design (including but not limited to: TV, digital, print, social media, etc.), to drive audience engagement, brand awareness and tune-in.
  • Manage, evolve and maintain the integrity of Bell Media brands and ensure the highest quality standards, policies and procedures.
  • Work in conjunction with Production, Marketing and other cross-functional groups to supervise the development and execution of design projects on all platforms.
  • Empower, motivate and manage a high-performing creative team.
  • Be a creative visionary with the ability to inspire new thinking and energize teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from across the organization to align vision with strategy.

Qualifications

  • Significant professional experience in a leadership position overseeing a dynamic creative team with a proven history of identifying and developing creative talent.
  • A talented leader who collaborates, motivates, inspires and drives innovative creative thinking teams within a rapidly changing industry and business landscape
  • Experience managing a team that produces and delivers a high-volume of deadline-driven creative assets
  • Demonstrated excellence in conceptual graphic and motion design.
  • Fluency in using design principles to drive decision making and cohesive user experiences.
  • A track record of building and maintaining a dynamic consumer brand.
  • Ability to understand changing market dynamics and translate insights into breakthrough creative.
  • Strong verbal and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing creative budgets.
  • The drive and ability to lead change within a large organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with business leaders and colleagues across the company.
