Frontline Leader - PepsiCo Foods Canada (Quaker)

If you're hungry for a challenge and have a taste for working with people, then we would like to meet you! We're looking for an energetic, enterprising and independent individual to join the Quaker team in Peterborough.

As a Frontline Leader, your job responsibilities will include;

  • Provide functional leadership, coaching, and technical support for your team and area of the plant.
  • Lead a team of 15 to 30 hourly associates with varying levels of experience and education.
  • Responsible for people and team development, quality performance, cost, service and safety.
  • Develop individuals and the team to solve routine operational issues.
  • Motivate the team to achieve established performance targets.
  • Organize and facilitates team meetings utilizing the CI performance process.
  • Conduct one to ones with technicians to ensure that expectations are being met.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Initiate and implements continuous improvement projects.
  • Conduct presentations and formal training

Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and leading for results through others.
  • High level of skill in coaching teams and working as a team player.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of computer applications (MS Word/Excel).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • High degree of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capable of problem solving in high-stress situations


Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Engineering is an asset)
  • Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated people and leadership skills
  • Flexible - willingness to work off shifts and weekends
  • Team based approach to decision making
