Bell is currently seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Support Developer specializing in database marketing.  This is a terrific opportunity for a seasoned professional to help transform the organization in driving out one of the most significant strategic mandates within Bell.  As part of this team, you will have opportunities to build your leadership skills, shape the next generation of BI and drive important business decisions working with new, cutting-edge BI technologies.


Position Description:

This individual will help guide the evolution of our best in class technical infrastructure, supporting a large marketing analytics team that specializes in outbound communications and our inbound next best action engine.  A successful applicant will have the ability to forge partnerships, working on virtual teams that include business stakeholders, fellow analytics specialists and IT professionals.  This position requires advanced level problem solving skills using tools and technologies such as IBM Campaign Unica, Interact, Oracle and Teradata.  The role requires excellent communication and prioritization skills as well as the ability to work independently on multiple concurrent initiatives.  This individual will have the opportunity to work closely with other best in class Business Intelligence technologies including Tableau, Microstrategy, Hadoop, SAS and and Cisco Information Server.  This is a great opportunity to get exposure to huge and diverse data sets and use your experience to help drive best in class enterprise communications.


Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Significant experience developing and trouble-shooting campaign flows in the IBM Campaign / Unica environment
  • Advanced level SQL skills to aggregate, filter and analyze large data sets
  • Familiarity with relational database design and tuning techniques for optimizing queries on large tables
  • Experience contributing to database marketing technical best practices
  • Able to prioritize, multitask and execute tasks in a high pressure environment
  • Experience contributing to database marketing strategic and technical infrastructure roadmaps
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills



  • 3+ years experience with IBM Campaign / Unica, IBM Interact
  • 3+ years SQL experience
  • 2+ years developing and optimizing queries on Oracle and/or Teradata
  • Experience with Unix/Linux, especially in scripting on these platforms
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Microstrategy is an asset
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop is an asset
  • Experience working with telecom data is an asset






Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
